Effects of the STAD Method on Chinese College Students' English Communicative Competence

چکیده

The objective of this study was to investigate effects the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) method in enhancing college students’ English Communicative Competence. This quantitative adopted a quasi- experimental design. sample chosen intact groups consisting 80 first-year non-English majors from two different classes Chinese vocational colleges. students were divided into groups, i.e. Experimental Group and Control Group. teaching Group, based on STAD while conventional Each group made up 40 students. questions used tests before after intervention adapted IELTS speaking listening test. SPSS 25 applied analyze data using ANCOVA research findings conspicuously revealed that when utilized improved significantly their overall performance communicative competence.
